How to care for your candle
Essential tips to enjoy your candle fully and safely.
Burn your candle for 3 hours
From the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly until it reaches the edges of the container. This helps prevent tunnelling — uneven burning that leaves unmelted wax on the sides — and ensures a better scent throw.
Trim the wick before each burn
Keep it at 4-5 mm.
This prevents high flames and soot buildup (which darkens the vessel), helping your candle last longer.
Keep away from children and pets
Never leave a burning candle, one that has just been extinguished, within their reach.
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Keep it away from flammable materials and drafts. Avoid placing it near curtains, paper or fabrics.
Do not burn for more than 4 hours
This helps minimise carbon build-up on the wick and reduces the risk of the container overheating.
Avoid touching or moving the candle while it’s burning
The container can become very hot. Keep the candle steady and in place until it has fully cooled.
Cover the candle when not in use
The lid helps preserve the scent’s intensity over time and prevents dust from accumulating.
Let the candle cool completely
Before lighting again, wait at least 2 hours to allow the wax to fully solidify and ensure optimal performance.
