Intentional Aromas,
ambassadors of well-being
Our aromatic philosophy is rooted in Nature and guided by purpose: to awaken positive emotions.
When scent
becomes message
Inspired by aromatherapy and guided by the science of aromachology, each of our Intentional Aromas has been carefully selected and refined for every candle.
More than just a blend of ingredients, each Intentional Aroma is an olfactory message — designed to support your emotional state and inspire soulcare rituals: those quiet, personal moments where you tend to how you feel.

The wisdom of aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is an ancient holistic practice that uses essential oils and natural aromatic elements to support physical and emotional well-being.
Emotional aromatherapy focuses on the powerful connection between scent and emotion, exploring the therapeutic effects of aromas on our mood and how they can influence the way we feel.
It is believed that the Egyptians were already using essential oils in religious and healing rituals more than 4,000 years ago. The term “aromatherapy” itself was first coined and formalised in 1928 by French chemist René-Maurice Gattefossé.
Scientific evidence
Scientists have used EEGs (electroencephalograms) to explore how aromatic molecules affect our mood. A scientific review of multiple studies confirmed that fragrances — both natural and synthetic — influence various brainwave activities and can directly or indirectly impact our psychological state.
One study in particular found that lavender has a calming effect, largely due to linalool, an aromatic compound naturally present in the plant.
Another study compared the scent of clementine with vanilla. The citrus aroma of clementine was shown to be highly stimulating and associated with “happy” sensations, while vanilla evoked a more relaxing response.

The science of
aromachology
Aromachology is the science that explores the connection between scent and human psychology. It emerged in the 1980s and is grounded in neurological research, using modern techniques to observe and analyse how aromas affect the mind.
Unlike aromatherapy — which relies exclusively on essential oils and other natural, plant-derived aromatic compounds — aromachology studies the emotional benefits of fragrance, whether natural or synthetic.

The aromatic elements we use
Sublime essential oils
Steam-distilled from different parts of the plant.
We also use super-concentrated oils, extracted through vacuum distillation, resulting in more vibrant and long-lasting aromas.
Luxurious absolutes
Extracted from petals and leaves using solvents, absolutes are the truest expression of floral aromas in their natural state.
They’re more intense than essential oils — and among the rarest and most precious natural aromatics in the world.
Rich natural extracts
Composed of aromatic compounds chemically isolated from plants and fruits that, due to their characteristics, cannot be converted into essential oils or absolutes.
Sophisticated aromatic blends
Crafted by perfumers with botanical olfactory notes.
They combine plant-based ingredients and safe synthetic molecules, helping stabilise essential oils and extracts while enhancing the scent performance of our candles.
Scent and emotion: a unique connection
Of all the senses, smell is the most deeply tied to our emotions. It speaks directly to the emotional brain, without filters or translation.
A single aroma can transport us in seconds to a memory, a place, or a feeling. That’s because when we inhale a scent, its molecules interact with receptors in the olfactory bulb — a part of the brain that belongs to the limbic system, the region responsible for processing emotion and memory.
In response to this olfactory stimulation, the limbic system releases neurotransmitters. Depending on the aromatic note and its chemical composition, different effects can be triggered, creating sensations of relaxation, joy, comfort, and more.
